Summer Day Camp Counselors
8-Week Day Camp + Training (35 Hours per week)
The Neighborhood Service Council Counselor’s primary responsibility will be to participate in planning and assist in implementing ideas and activities to provide a day camp filled with fun and purposeful participation activities for youth grades 6-12 as part of the
NSC’s My Time Teen Day Camp
Duties include interaction with community, corporate, & recreational groups to:
- Work as part of a development group.
- Ensure that all youth are properly supervised at all times.
- Submit two activities per day that will be implemented into daily programs.
- Maintain records and needed paperwork for effective running of a day camp.
- Work to provide a safe, caring environment characterized by dignity, courtesy, respect, and fairness in which youth feel valued and supported in their growth experience.
- Provide support for establishing long-term benefits for low-income youth.
Applicant must be
at least 18 years of age. College students are encouraged to apply. Must be a good team player and experience in working with youth in small group setting is a plus. No criminal record. Possess responsibility, creativity, respect, patience, good judgment & is self-motivated, & computer literate.

Hourly Salary
up to 40 hours per week with a salary range of $7.50 to $8.50 per hour.
