“Exapnding Kids Horizons!” is NSC's motto. Annually over 2,000 individuals and representatives of neighborhood organizations work together to share time, talents, resources, and caring. More is accomplished for less and area children are the winners.

Neighbors join hands in a spirit of cooperation and good will to create a healthy environment for children, families and individuals to carry out the NSC mission. Resources come in many forms, but the secret weapons for making Neighborhood Service Council the successful organization it has become are trained volunteers as well as donations, financial and in-kind. i.e. Spring Valley United Methodist Church has housed NSC rent free since 1989.

Over 300 KEYS volunteers (Keeping Every Youth Safe) helped provide over 6,000 direct service hours in 2006, to children and youth enrolled in NSC programs including MY TIME Teen Camp, ADVENTURE TIME After-School Program, Tweens After-School Program and Dobie Primary After-School Program.
