NSC My Time Teen Camp
Just for teens! My Time Teen Camp is a free day camp for youth entering grades 6 – 10. There is a $4.50 registration fee.
Three sessions available from June 7 – July 27, Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 4:30 pm. My Time Teen Camp offers a full-time sports program with workshops including Tennis, Swimming, Soccer and more!
Additional fun workshops include theater, outdoors skills, career, carnival, music, conflict resolution, crafts, and field trips galore.

Send A Kid To Camp
A free-of-charge, drop-in, summer Dallas Park & Recreation program for youth ages 6-17, conducted Monday - Friday, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm June 4th through July 20th , 2007 (no camp Wednesday, July 4th) at Carolyn Bukhair Elementary and other park sites throughout the city.
Activities include sports, crafts, games, swimming, nature studies, life skills development, enrichment programs and field trips. Free healthy lunches will be provided. For more information call (214) 671-0217

Campbell Green will offer a variety of opportunities for pre-schoolers to teens. Several Day camps for ages 5-12 are available. One of our more popular camps Discovery Camp Campbell Green for ages 7-12. The camp runs for 10 weeks Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The cost is $170 per camper per week. Camp begins May 30th continues through August 5th.

held on selected weekends. Cherokee Scout Camp, 3-day session camp takes place

Twilight Summer Camp for boys who are incoming first graders not registered with Boy Scouts that reside in the Dallas/Richardson area, will be June 21st –23rd , 4:00-8:30 pm. Cost will be $35 per boy and include a Cub Scout Registration Fee. Working Wonders assists single parents, displaced homemakers and single pregnant women in reaching their educational and career goals. You must be enrolled in the technical occupation program.

Mayor’s Summer Reading Program will begin May 19th –July 28th at Dallas Public Libraries as well as a variety of other free programs that will be offered throughout the Dallas Public Library locations this summer.
All children may enroll by registering at one of the Dallas Public Library locations and record the time spent reading or listening to books online. The record log will be provided at the time of sign-up. Just return the log to the library where you registered so your hours may be recorded and prizes awarded.

Sessions for the entire family to have fun learning more together. Six sessions are offered during the school year. Age appropriate activities, super, and parenting information are provided in this informal educational setting. Community resources and information abound. Family Outreach of Richardson/Plano
Parenting classes (STEP – Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) are offered on- going through the year for $20 per person and $35 for couples. Ongoing programs include community education on anti-victimization programs in schools and other settings; in-home casework for at-risk or stressed families; and mentoring for families that are at-risk for abuse.

Youth Development Program: Youth Development program engages youth 13-18 in hands-on, interactive activities.

Neighborhood Youth and Family Counseling
Provides counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, and families with issues of substance abuse. Relationship counseling, mental health concerns, victim’s assistance, mediation, a first offender program, and tobacco and alcohol programs.
Provides free English and Spanish counseling for victims of sexual assault, and domestic family violence. Spanish counselors are available if needed. Sliding-fee scale is used.

Soccer Start - Neighborhood Service Council
Neighborhood Service Council (NSC) organizes recreational soccer for boys and girls ages 4 to 18. NSC collaborates with Dallas North Soccer Association (DNSA) to provide low-income students in Richardson Independent School District (RISD) access to multi-cultural soccer league play. Low-income RISD players are part of the National Soccer Start Program and therefore pay a reduced fee for spring and fall soccer. Scholarships are available.

Coaches from all over the
world will be conducting a soccer skills training camp this summer scheduled
June 19, 1:00 - 3:30 pm.. Children will receive a
soccer ball and t-shirt for participating in this exciting program.

Football camp will be August 1st-3rd, for grades two – six from 9:00-11:00 am, for seven – eight grades from 4:00-6:00 pm, cost $35. Summer Sports Strength Camp (Learn To Do It Right) for grades nine – twelve, June 11th – July 26th, HS athletes session is from 7:00 am- 9:00 am. Ninth grade athletes session is from 8;30 am- 10:00 am. Deadline for Strength Camp registration will be June 11th. Cost $120 per week.
