Volunteers Welcome Neighborhood Service Council continues to recruit volunteers year-round for NSC programs and events. Training is provided. For more information please call (972) 239-3501 or (972) 233-7671 ext. 25
Adventure Time after School Program Free sessions are conducted on Monday – Friday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. for students who qualify. Applications for both the Spring Valley United Methodist Church Program and the RISD Carolyn Bukhair site may be completed at the NSC Office at 7700 Spring Valley Road, between 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
College In-Service Students – Complete volunteer class credit hours utilizing deadlines established by teacher. Each student is responsible for own hours. Can check or revise schedule by calling (972) 239-3501.

September 1, Saturday	Dallas Library on Wheels at Cottonwood Park Dallas, 8500 Midpark, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

September 3, Monday	Labor Day – RISD Holiday No Adventure Time or tutoring. Office closed.

September 5, Wednesday	NSC Family Night – 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. - offers an informative, free fun night for parents and children at Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 7700 Spring Valley Road, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sessions and light supper are planned for all ages, with primary focus on information for parents. Registration flyers available in area schools, or Contact NSC (972) 239-3501 to register. Pre-registration is requested.

September 6, Thursday	NSC Executive Committee Meeting at Spring Valley United Methodist, 7:30 a.m. For more information contact Janis Reid Dumas at (972) 239-3501 or (972) 233-7671 ext. 25.

September 11, Tuesday	NSC Program Committee Meeting -7:00 A.M., Denny’s @LBJ

September 12, Wednesday	K.E.Y.S. Volunteer Training (Keeping Every Youth Safe) at 10:00 am at Spring Valley UMC is an orientation for individuals wanting to volunteer in NSC programs.

September 15, Saturday	Dallas Library on Wheels at Cottonwood Park Dallas, 8500 Midpark, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

September 18, Tuesday	NSC Financial Development Committee Meeting, 12:00 p.m., Spring Valley United Methodist Church.

September 19, Wednesday	K.E.Y.S. Volunteer Training (Keeping Every Youth Safe) from 4 – 6 pm. am at Spring Valley UMC is an orientation for individuals wanting to volunteer in NSC programs.

September 20, Thursday	NSC Religious Organizations Committee consisting of representatives from area congregations gather to work together on meeting the needs of the community at 7:30 am at Spring Valley UMC in Asbury Hall.

September 25, Tuesday	Dallas Junior Forum will host a Back to School party for the Adventure Time children at 4:00 pm.
