Training

Neighborhood Service Council. provides a half-day training session  for new adult volunteers and staff. Attendance at a training session is a prerequisite for volunteers who will be working directly with small groups of children and youth.

The training session provides information concerning general procedures, discipline, liability, emergency procedures, and how better to serve NSC’s target population. Volunteers also receive a detailed summary of NSC programs as well as information regarding the history and background of the organization.

Training sessions are held at the NSC Operations Center. At least six training sessions are conducted each year and a variety of days and times are offered. Training can be scheduled for groups on other dates as needed. Please contact NSC to register for upcoming dates.
